Jack and the beanstalk
£15.00
This is the traditional pantomime tale of the lad who sold his cow for a bag of beans, which grew into a giant beanstalk, which led up into a magic place where lives a giant who owns a bird that lays golden eggs.
In this version instead of just one beanstalk the magic beans produce several beanstalks. Jack, and his girlfriend, Jill, climb them to discover fantasy places before finding the Giant’s Castle.
This panto has all the traditional characters of the popular story, including the Giant, and his bird that lays the golden eggs, the evil landlord, Baron Hardheart (who is the target for all the booing), while Dame Trot provides comic relief. Other characters include the mysterious Dr Proctor, who sells Jack the beans, and the nursery rhyme character Mary Mary.
