Probably the most popular of all modern pantomime stories and needs no introduction to your guests.
It is this familiarity which will give your party side splitting moments as players take on well known characters and add their own inimitable styles and voices to the proceedings.
This is the classic pantomime story of the young, fatherless Cinderella who is treated cruelly by her stepmother and made to wait hand and foot on her two mean and spiteful stepsisters.
Cinderella’s life changes with the arrival of her fairy godmother who uses her magic powers to take over many of the household duties.
The fairy godmother also provides Cinderella with a ball gown and a carriage in which to attend the ball where she meets Prince Charming
The rest of the story is well known, and this script covers Cinderella’s attendance at the ball, her escape at midnight leaving her glass slipper and the happy ending when the prince successfully tries on the glass slipper and makes her his bride.
Laughter abounds as the Cook/Dame keeps the audience involved, the ugly sisters try to woo the prince. In addition to the wicked stepmother we also meet Old Baron Hardup, Cinderella’s inventor grandfather.
The script has a cast list of ten players. If you don’t have that many willing participants, then some players could play more than one part. If you have more players than roles there are two optional additional non-speaking roles displaying the ‘BOO’ and ‘CHEER’ cards to involve the audience.
