Write your own pantomime

£9.95

This book is for those who make pantomime and those who love pantomime.

For those who produce panto – whether amateur or professional – it is an attempt to write down many fa-vourite routines in a reference book which may allow you to find that extra bit of nonsense or laugh line to add to your show.

For those who love pantomime, it is an indulgence, a book full of memories of standard oft-used routines which continue to amuse successive generations of theatregoers.

It is packed with many bits of ‘business’ from ‘one-liners’ to complete scenes – All the material in this book has been audience tested and approved – and it will help you to create a modern panto with proven audience appeal.

You will find here much of the material needed to cre-ate a successful modern pantomime.

Give yourself time to think through the story. It may take a few weeks to jot down ideas but you will then have a dozen or so pages of notes before you begin to write the script proper. These notes should include a story outline, which is a scene-by-scene summary of the plot, and a list of characters which match the ac-tors in your group. Your notes may also include possi-ble songs and snippets of one-liners and sketches ap-propriate to the story. It is recommended that you take a traditional pantomime plot rather than create a new story, particularly if you want to fill seats
